Integral philosophy

At the moment I´m researching the integral movement, which is a broad  american spiritual movement, whose trying to integrate western and eastern spirituality. Their mostly known representants is people as Ken Wilber, Deepak Chopra, Barbara Marx Hubbard and Andre Cohen. Their roots is in the Theosophical Society (i.e. astrology, the age of aquarius, new age spirituality) even though it´s not a fact they´re bringing to light. Considering their hope of a spirituality for the future based on rationality   , reason and enlightenment it´s understandable - but people still have to be enlightened about were ideas a coming from. It´s a natural part of a historical and philosophical conscience about the relation and history of ideas. A spirituality should have and use words that relate to their time and the seven rays of theosophy is in many ways a very good model, though we tend to think of the "seven rays" as superstition. Today the talk about seven streams seems more like native indian philosophy rather than a language based on science. Rays and resonance are still terms of science - even though most theory of spirituality will never be scientific. Ken Wilber is one of the only I know who´s tried to make this spiritual science as a real science - and of my opinion he´s almost succeeded. Taking in the fact that he has had several health issues after an insidence of toxic waste over ten years ago, his work is still remarkable and should be taken serious. But if you´re a college or university student a critical view on the texts is still highly important, since it is spirituality he´s describing. And most spiritual litterature would never stand the test of falsification after for instance Poppers theory of science and scientific paradigms.
